Strange Case of the day: Twitter Killer - Takahiro Shiraishi
Takahiro Shiraishi, 27 was living in an apartment in Zama, Japan.
Reportedly, he put out tweets in March 2017 asking people to come to his house so he could watch them commit suicide.
He offered to either assist or watch them kill themselves.
His Twitter profile contained the words: "I want to help people who are really in pain. Please DM [direct message] me anytime."
Before moving to Zama, Shirashi worked as a "Kaori Scouto" (a scout who lures women into brothels to work in the sex industry) in Kabukicho, Tokyo's biggest red light district.
During that time also, he used to lure girls into sex trade.
People used to warn locals about him, describing him as a "creepy scout".
He told his father that he saw no meaning in life.
Then he moved from Tokyo to Zama.
Suddenly a 23-year-old woman disappeared after exchanging Twitter messages, allegedly with Shiraishi.
The missing women's brothers called police.
Police then arrived at the apartment and asked where the missing woman was.
Shiraishi indicated she was in the freezer.
Police found 9 dead bodies (9 human heads and 240 bones) in the house, all of which had been dismembered.
In 3 cooler boxes and 5 large storage boxes, police found heads, legs and arms from his victims.
Neighbors corroborated the events by confirming that foul smells of rotting flesh had come from the house.
A friend of his indicated that he had indulged in choking games while in school.
Signs of his later victims indicated that they had been choked to death.
8 of his 9 victims were women in their late teens to early twenties.
Shiraishi claimed his motive was sex.
He wanted to use his victims’ vulnerable states to manipulate and sexually assault them, fulfilling his fantasies and not having to worry about them denying his advances.
Last month, on October 1 2020 Shiraishi pleaded guilty to 9 murders.

I love learning about serial killers. I think it's so interesting to some, because we really do have this visceral need to understand the human mind. I enjoy your content. Thank you!
I am a supporter for not only the death penalty but strongly believe it should be done by hanging. It seems like the appropriate method. Idk why I feel this way.
