Hi!
Here is your weekly dose of “Everything Strange,” literally a list of everything strange happening around us. So let’s start with
Today's Strange History (April 21, 2021)
Loch Ness Monster: Exactly 87 years ago today in 1934, the Daily Mail published The "Surgeon's ( Robert Kenneth Wilson ) Photograph". It is supposed to be the first photo of the "head and neck" of the Loch Ness Monster and is one of the most iconic Nessie photos. Since 1994, most who have studied the photo in detail agree the photo was an elaborate hoax.
Gangster: In 1986, commentator Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone's vault on live TV and found nothing, except great ratings for his spectacle. Al Capone was an American gangster and businessman, who was the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit.
Tiananmen Square: Today in 1989, more than 100,000 students gathered at Beijing's Tiananmen Square to commemorate Hu Yaobang the deposed reform-minded leader of the Chinese Communist Party and voice their dissent with China's authoritative communist government. This was the beginning of the mass demonstrations in Tiananmen Square. Chinese citizens demanded more freedom of speech and political freedom. Later Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ordered Chinese troops to massacre hundreds of demonstrators and arrested thousands of protesters & other suspected dissidents. Since then the topic of "Tiananmen Square" has been completely banned and censored from Chinese books, internet inside China etc.
Execution: In 1992, car thief, burglar, kidnapper and murderer Robert Alton Harris became the first person executed by the state of California in 25 years as he was put to death in the gas chamber for the 1978 murder of two teenage boys.
Oklahoma City Bombing: 26 years ago, today in 1995 FBI arrested domestic terrorist & coward Timothy McVeigh and charged him with the Oklahoma City bombing.

Strange Case of the day: 8 Less Known Things About Oklahoma City Bomber
Timothy McVeigh was an American domestic terrorist who carried out the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people and injured more than 680 others. The bombing was the deadliest act of terrorism in the United States prior to the September 11 attacks. Above I shared a documentary about the whole incident, now let me tell you about 8 very strange things about this criminal within 4 mins
8. McVeigh was very skinny as a young boy. Bullies referred to him as "Noodle McVeigh."
7. His high school yearbook quote was: "Take it as it comes, buy a lamborghini, california girls".
6. McVeigh had a blunt pick-up line that he effectively used a couple of times while stationed at Fort Riley: "Okay, we've just met. We could sit here for three hours, wasting money on drinks, or we could just go now and get laid."
5. He gave several cases of Army-issued ready-to-eat meals to poverty stricken families he encountered in Iraq.
4. McVeigh earned a reputation for honesty as an armored guard when he found $8,000 that had been misplaced and promptly returned it.
3. In a letter to a girl he liked, McVeigh wrote: "I can take a hint, but this is my address anyway. If you ever need anything, let me know. 1. someone killed, blown up, etc. 2. a shoulder. 3. refuge. 4. fertilization from good stock when the clock starts ticking."
2. While in prison, McVeigh had a female admirer in Germany, who sent him a series of sexually explicit letters.
1. McVeigh once lied to some neighbors of Terry Nichols (his accomplice in the bombing plot) and told them the Army had implanted a computer chip in his butt.
